Hope & Josh {Benachi House and Gardens New Orleans, Louisiana}

Hope and Josh were married last weekend at the Historic Benachi House & Gardens in New Orleans.  Hope walked down the aisle preceded by a second line parade in true New Orleans stlye! It was very cool and definitely something I haven’t seen before! Their baby girl, Sloan was the flower girl. I have some adorable shots below of her wearing a white tulle dress. Hope and her family planned the wedding. Her mother did her hair and her grandmother made the bouquets and her grandfather painted their profiles onto the custom bean bag toss they used for lawn games. It was a DIY wedding and it looked great! They had a really great favor idea, bookmarks with a message from Hope and Josh on one side and an empty sleeve on the backside which was the perfect size to slip in a photo booth picture strip! It was so wonderful to be able to capture all the historic architecture and furnishings of the Benachi House. Congrats Hope & Josh!

Kelsy & Demond {Jupiter Hotel, Portland OR}

Kelsy and Demond were married last Saturday at the Jupiter Hotel in Portland Oregon. The Jupiter Hotel is a mid-century, renovated motor inn-turned-boutique hotel situated right next to the Doug Fir Lounge.  Let me just start by saying that Kelsy and Demond really know how to throw a party! From the gelato bar, customized button favors and awesome DJ ( Street Dream Mobile DJ’s), needless to say it was a good time! Then they surprised us all by driving away in a decked out Volkswagon Thing.

Wedding Gown: Maggie Sottero purchased at Bella Brides in Bend Oregon,  Catering: Koi Fushion,   Florist: Solabee Flowers & Botanicals,   Gelato Bar: Bonta Natural Artison Gelato,   Bridesmaids Shoes: Urban Outfitters,   Groomsmen ties from Etsy seller: Speak Louder

Cheryl & Patrick {Elysian Park & Stories Book Store ~ Los Angeles, CA}

I flew down to Los Angeles to shoot Cheryl & Patrick’s engagement photos last weekend.  They are both musicians and heavily into 1970′s aesthetic so we gathered up a few things from their place to use as props for the shoot. Check out their vintage camera, typewriter, & ukulele! They plan to be wed in a pagan ceremony during the winter solstice of this year.
